I Sat With Sonic and an ALIEN 👽 (AI VFX with Nano Banana + Kling O1)

What if your imaginary friends became REAL? 🦔👽

I sat alone on my couch and acted like Sonic the Hedgehog and a grey alien were sitting next to me. Then AI made it actually happen.

This is the same technique Hollywood uses for billion-dollar blockbusters — except I did it from my home office with two AI tools and zero budget.

🛠️ TOOLS USED: - Nano Banana 2 (Gemini) — to edit the first frame and add Sonic + the alien - Kling O1 on OpenArt.ai — to propagate the characters across the entire video - Adobe Premiere Pro — for the before/after edit

🎬 THE WORKFLOW: 1. Filmed myself on the couch, pantomiming reactions to empty space — looking right (where Sonic would be), then left (where the alien would be) 2. Exported the first frame from Premiere 3. Used Nano Banana 2 in Gemini to composite Sonic and the alien into that frame 4. Uploaded the original video + edited reference frame to Kling O1 on OpenArt.ai (video edit mode) 5. Kling generated the full video with perfect lighting, motion tracking, and idle animations 6. Edited the before/after reveal in Adobe Premiere Pro

The wildest part? Sonic moves his foot. The alien tilts its head. Full idle animations — generated by AI, not keyframed by hand.

This is the new VFX pipeline. One artist. One couch. Infinite characters.
